Huseyin Basusta was appointed to TRT Istanbul Television in 1987. His first assignment here was production of a weekly 26-episode program called "Bilgisayar Dunyasi" (Computer World) that had been aired on tape for 52 weeks.

Since computer usage was new to Turkey at those times, subjects such as how to use computers, use of software and computer technology in industry were dealt within the program.

He prepared the "Dikkat Yangin" (Warning, Fire) in collabaration with Istanbul Fire Department in year 1989, a program consisting of 6 episodes about the fire and the fire protection methods.

Again in 1989, he produces/directed a 26-episode program "Hayatin Pinari" (Stream of Life) about cardiovascular health and protection in which wellknown theatre and cinema players acted. The programs were prepared in drama format and aired in TRT1 and TRT2 frequently.

During the same period, Basusta prepared many educational programs to enlighten people about air and sea pollution since the aforesaid were becoming increasingly important problems.
